National Mall Tactile Map at US Capitol

Now Open! Located in the Crypt of the US Capitol, this exhibit includes cast metal models mounted to a large tactile map displayed on a table. A reader rail around the perimeter of the map provides large print and braille labels of the most important places. Braille readers follow raised lead lines from the perimeter labels to the most significant government buildings, museums, monuments and memorials on the interior of the map. An index at one end lists everything shown on the map.
