American Printing House for the Blind introduces a new product: a multi-sensory map of the United States. For those who can’t read print maps, this method of presenting cartographic information through touch, sight and sound offers unprecedented access. Readers can tap on any state, city, or body of water with a Talking Tactile Pen to hear place names spoken aloud. They can continue tapping in the same spot to drill down into 16 information layers about the 50 states, such as population, landmarks and famous people.
The US Map is printed in bright colors, and includes large print and braille text labels. Size: 22″ x 14″ (open), and 11″ x 14″ (folded in half). Contact APH for release date, pricing and ordering information.
