Lockkeeper’s House Tactile Map

Now open. The Lockkeeper’s House, located adjacent to the Washington Monument in Washington, DC, contains a small historical exhibit featuring a tactile graphic map comparing the National Mall in 1837 with today. The map is mounted on a retractable tray and slides out of the way when not in use. Visual design by National Park Service, tactile design by Touch Graphics.

  • Braille: UEB Grade 2 (fully contracted).

  • Tactile printing: UV-cured dimensional white ink.
