T3 Creator

T3 Creator is a way to produce your own talking tactile pictures and maps, and also an accessible design and drawing tool. You will need T3 Paper, blank sheets with a QR code the T3 can recognize. You will create your tactile diagram directly on the T3 Template, or on a piece of paper will stick down to the template. Then, you will create audio labels that a student will hear when they touch each element in your tactile design.

The other way to use T3 Creator is a an accessible drawing tool. You can draw without vision, using your finger to construct figures by tracing them on the T3 Tablet, then outputting your designs on a nearby braille embosser. Working iteratively, creating multiple drafts as you work, and correcting errors and adding new elements as you go, blind artists and others can now try out this new system.

Work on T3 Creator is being carried out by Touch Graphics in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Visual Impairment at the Smith Kettlewell Eye Research Institute. Please get in touch by email to info@touchgraphics.com if you are interested in participating in this research.

T3 Creator Beta version is now available for installation on any T3 tablet running version DH or later. To update the app: swipe down anywhere on the tablet, then exit with our without Talkback screen reader support. Swipe up to reveal the Android desktop, then click on Google Play Store.
