For very young children, picture books are an important first step in learning to read. Visually impaired kids also need picture books, so Touch Graphics has created T3 Stories. Developed in collaboration with visual and tactile artist Ann Cunningham, T3 Stories introduces Mort the Mouse and his animal and human friends who live on a farm. Children and their teacher or parent read together, exploring the beautiful bas relief illustrations of each animal. Whenever they press on any animal for about one second, they will hear the author describing what they touched, for example, if you touch Mort’s tail, Ann, impersonating Mort says, “that’s my long curvy tail, press on it again to find out how I use it!”
